so i was clearly lying when i said the new collection would be out soon.. oh well. it really will be launching online soon but you don't have to believe me. join my mailing list to be the first to know. it's within the next week.. promise...
things got a little hectic with lots of travel this past month. i was feeling kind of guilty about all the slacking off but you know what.. f that noise. a girl has gotta live and there is more to life than wallets.. even 11:11 ones..;)
we went to Utah where my husband taught an amazing yoga bootcamp at our friends studio in St. George. we even got a chance to go to Zion before it closed with some of my BFF's from college.. and then my folks came to LA and we escaped into the wild beauty that is Big Sur... what a dream..
packing for the maiden voyage with 11:11's new luggage tags !!
check out this hottie we found on the insanely beautiful road from St. George to Zion
omg turquoise glass and gems everywhere in the cutest town on earth: Springdale, Utah
Dave and Rachel Chamberlain enjoying cheese sandwiches in heaven. i love these people. if you want to commission an exceptional portrait check out Rachel's new website (recently featured on dooce!) and if you are a baller with exquisite taste in custom furniture check out Dave's portfolio
after we enjoyed the celestial sandwiches we took a walk that blew our minds.
then I had to go back to Los Angeles so Jai Gopal took me to the airport in Vegas. before my flight we had a super inspiring meeting with the founder of this start up in downtown Las Vegas, which is where Zappos just moved their offices. They are pioneering a transformation downtown by focusing on creating a vibrant interconnected and walkable community where there very recently was total sprawling drug addled decay.. I'm keeping my eye on the Downtown Project... it's the way of the future.
after Jai Gopal got back we went on an adventure to Big Sur together and it was.... stunning
at Pfeiffer beach, which was blissfully quiet (thanks to the government shutdown), a portal opened into another realm, and it was pure magic
every inch enchanting. purple sand everywhere in patterns created by Missoni clad fairies
playing with my sea antlers....bliss.
so so so grateful. now back to work ;)
thanks for reading.

It finally happened. We made luggage tags. To the average observer it would seem creating a new product out of thin air would be a fairly easy affair. When I started my business I thought it would be so simple. Hahhahaha. I thought a lot of things.
But these tags.. these tags we have been working on for at least 2 years. I was visiting my dear family in Chicago around Christmas 2011 while I was in town for the Renegade Show. My aunt is an airline stewardess extraordinaire and is a big fan of our passport cases. She suggested we do luggage tags and gave me an old American Airlines luggage tag that she had been using for many years as inspirational talisman. She said it was the most durable, user friendly tag she had ever had, so we based our tests on that tag. Below is a pic I just took of our new tags on the right and the original inspiration on the left.
So after countless revisions and tests (see below) I think we have got a product that will be airline stewardess approved! These tags are made out of hard but flexible plastic, with space to write your name with a permanent pen on the back. They are oversized so you can spot your bags more easily and most importantly they are super original so no one will ever mistake your bag for theirs ever again!
a little snapshot for you from my luggage tag trial reject folder
They are available in our 12 most loved patterns ( it was hard!). These are the toughest, cutest, most air travel friendly tags we could create and I could not be more pleased to finally be able to share them with you.

We recently had the chance to pass through Santa Fe on our way home from the summer solstice yoga celebration we go to every year in New Mexico. It's a pretty intense and beautiful experience and it's so great to have an excuse to go to the 'land of enchantment' on the regular. Here are a few instagram photos I snapped on our way through this gorgeous town-
ok first things first, can we talk about the New Mexico Chile situation!??! and the Chilaquiles!! OUT OF CONTROL. After a week of yogi food in the desert i think this is the best meal I ever ate.
never pass up a cute library door photo op
i'm so happy we got a chance to go into this place - the St Francis Cathedral . it was magical..
and check out their motto! i can get down with that!!
lighting a candle and saying a prayer..
dude.. i love this place. chiles everywhere and so pretty!!
The little altar I made in our hotel room after we rolled out of there and spent the night in ABQ. I got the prayer cards from St. Francis Cathedral , the crystal ball was a birthday present from my dear friends Santosh and Gurujas, the citrine wand at my friends Jessamy and Rebecca's gorgeous yoga studio in St. George Utah , the seed pod from Yogi Bhajan's ranch (we got a private tour! it was amazing..) , and the sacred hearts from my favorite store in Santa Fe - Doodlets ! It's the one right across the way from Pasqual's and they have the CUTEST stuff. I am so happy to say that I am working on filling an opening order with them so 11:11 will have a home in Santa Fe very soon! So excited..
As always - Happy Travels and thanks for reading :)

greetings from the land of possibility!
i just got back from the most insightful, world expanding, perception altering, powerful week of my life. saying i was at a yoga intensive doesn't begin to describe the experience. what if you found a teacher and a lineage stretching back thousands of years that could actually change your entire world and viewpoint? for the (way) better? well i did, and its awesome.
there is so much beauty and adventure to share.. i am working now on creating a blog that is going to help me do just that. until then i will post some of that content here, as well as more about all the new stuff we are cooking up at 11:11 HQ.
Whatever you are doing, wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying it.
happy travels + love,
